The Sinsheimer House

SATURDAY, JULY 16, 2016

COFFEE at 8:30am
TOUR BEGINS at 9:00am
2016 TOUR PARTNER: GERRETSON REALTY, INC.
Join Columns & Coffee as we tour the recent renovation of this Mediterranean Revival style house in the historic Denver Country Club neighborhood.  The house was originally designed in 1916 by Maurice Biscoe for Sidney Weil Sinsheimer, one of the organizers of the Holly Sugar Corporation.

The current owners have been meticulously renovating the house over the past two years.  Speaking to the C&C group in the front yard during the High Street tour in June, 2014, one of the owners said that they were “adamant about doing it right and making the house the way it was meant to be.”  She generously offered to invite Columns & Coffee to return “to see the final product” and to hear about some of the challenges and interesting engineering issues encountered along the way.  The final touches have been made, the landscaping has been recently installed, and the owners are looking forward to having us as their guests.

Location: At 8:30am meet for coffee at COFFEE NOVO, 1700 East 6th Avenue at Gilpin Street, on the southeast corner.  Following coffee we will meet at the Sinsheimer House at 190 High Street in the Denver Country Club neighborhood.  Please be respectful of the neighbors, especially when parking.  Thank you.
Cost:  $10 General.  No cost to ICAA Members.
