Stroll down the 9th and 8th block of Race Street on the west side of the Morgan’s Subdivision Historic District, adjacent to the southeast corner of Cheeseman Park.  Learn about houses that were designed by prominent Denver architects Maurice Biscoe and Jacques Benedict as we go along, constructed between 1910 and 1928.  Hear remarks by Benedict’s grandson, former Denver Post journalist Mike McPhee and architectural critic and UCD educator, Christine Franck.  Adding to the experience will be two residents who will share comments about their houses and the neighborhood.

At the bottom of the hill at 6th Avenue, the tour will conclude with a tour of Philae Dominick’s house at 770 High Street, designed by Jacques Benedict in 1926 with gardens originally laid out by renowned Denver landscape architect Saco R. DeBoer.
